China's economic development has shifted from the industrial age into the information age, i.e. the service industry. Presently, China's economy is gradually moving from the "Made in China" to "Created in China". China Creative Design Week is an exchange of international design trends and ideas, demonstrating China's creative achievements and promoting the development of the creative design industry. Besides a selection of products from winners of the iF design awards, iF is also showing entries of the iF concept design award 2012.

iF has presented the 100 prize winners of the iF concept design award 2012 at one of the most prestigious design events in Asia. This year DESIGN KOREA was taking place for the tenth time, from 25 to 28 October 2012. The internationally acclaimed design exhibition is organized by the Korean Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP), with this year’s venue at Daegu - the fourth largest Korean city. Five international design institutions have been once again invited to participate. iF represented the European continent.

Taipei World Design Expo is a major design event - this year parallel to the 2011 IDA Congress. Works of graphic and interior design, architecture and art were being shown here. Government agencies, design organizations and companies, world-famous enterprises and educational institutions from more than 40 countries were invited. About one million international visitors came to participate in this event.
iF has presented the 100 winners of the iF concept design award 2011 at this venue. A total of more than 8,000 student design drafts from 52 different countries from around the world were entered in the iF competition for young design talent.

Design has traditionally played a major role in Korea. During the last few years, this role has become even more important with regard to issues such as sustainability and innovation. This is mirrored in the DESIGN KOREA exhibition, which has become one of the most recognized design events in Asia since its inception in 2003. In the last few years, each show had more than 120,000 visitors. DESIGN KOREA again took place at the COEX Convention and Exhibition Center in the center of Seoul. This year, 5 international design institutions have been invited to participate in the 'World Best Design Zone'. Here, iF has represented the European continent - by showing the 100 prize winners of the iF concept design award 2011.
