The OAXIS ebook reader is designed to emulate the experience of reading a book, its interface is made to feel like handling a printed book. As we would intuitively run through text with our fingers as we read. The interface adopts this habit, organizing the ebook's menu and content in indexes; thus users would habitually run his finger along the index and press on the corresponding button to make a selection. This direct access to the desired content eliminates the need to scroll through menus which is cumbersome due to the slow refresh rate of the E-ink screen. The design and interface places the reading in the center of the experience.
