Each city's various subway structures and railway systems somehow reflect the character of that city. We thought it should be possible to infuse the character of a city into its subway map while also simplifying the map and creating an attractive design. Through a line map design that captures the character and identity of the city, we can also express this to tourists. We intend to develop a comprehensive system that targets tourism through line map design. Maps of three city subway systems - the Seoul Railway, Tokyo Railway and Osaka Railway - have already been completed. More cities are in the design phase and others are being planned.
