iF product design award - Self-assembly
Products that are extremely large, that have to be mounted, are difficult to handle or very heavy as well as complicated or delicate product parts can be registered for self-assembly. If this applies to your products, please go to 'my iF' and use the 'shipping information' button to register your products for self-assembly. If you set up your products yourself, you are also responsible for dismantling and collecting your products after the jury session. This also applies to award-winning products.
iF reserves the right to decide whether you can set up your products yourself or whether they will be set up by iF. Please note: you cannot set up small products such as cell phones or navigation devices yourself.
If you set up your products yourself, you must provide all necessary materials and tools yourself. Resources such as forklifts and ramps also have to be provided by you. Alternatively, you can rent them via iF's logistics partner Kuehne + Nagel.
Please inform your forwarding company if this applies to you, since any additional costs for the delivery and collection of your products will be charged to you. If you decide to set up your products yourself, you are also responsible for the disposal of any packaging material.
Award-winning entries
Entries receiving an iF design award 2013 will be stored for the iF design exhibition Hannover, which will run alongside CeBIT from 05 to 09 March 2013 at the Hannover exhibition center. An early return of your products is not possible. Exception: if you have set up your products yourself, you will also have to disassemble them on the stated days and you will have to set them up again yourself for the iF design exhibition.
Award-winning entries: disassembly by participants
If you have set up your award-winning products yourself, you also have to disassemble them yourself on the stated days. If you do not collect your products, they will be stored and you will have to pay a storage fee. Information about the days reserved for disassembly will be available in December. Temporary storage of your products at Kuehne + Nagel is also possible; you will have to pay a fee for this. Please contact Kuehne + Nagel directly in this case.
Entries not winning an award
Products not winning an award will be packed by iF after the jury session and delivered to Kuehne + Nagel for return at your own expense. From the beginning of December, you can enter all necessary information for the return of your products in your 'my iF' area. Once you have successfully submitted this information, your products will be available for return from January 2013. If your forwarding company will pick up your products from Kuehne + Nagel, your products will be ready for collection from mid-December 2012. Please note: there will be no return shipment for large-format photos. You will have to pay all fees and expenses related to the return of your products or to their disposal.
Entries not winning an award: disassembly by participants
If you have assembled your products yourself and if your products have not received an award, you must disassemble and collect your products on the stated days. If you do not collect your products, they will be stored and you will have to pay a storage fee.
