Delivery must not be charged to iF. Please ensure that your entries arrive at Kuehne + Nagel free of any customs or tax charges. Any customs duties for import and export have to be paid by the participant.
Products that have to be mounted, are extremely large, difficult to handle or very heavy as well as complicated or delicate product parts can be registered for self-assembly. If this applies to your contribution, please use the shipping information button in the participations area my iF / submission processing to register your product for self-assembly.
The decision as to whether a contribution can be set up by the participant or whether it will be set up by iF rests with iF. Small products such as cell phones or navigation devices cannot be set up by participants.
If you set up your product yourself, all necessary material and tools must be provided by you. Resources such as forklifts and ramps have to be provided by you or can be rented via iF's logistics partner Kuehne + Nagel.
Please inform your forwarding company if this applies to you, since any additional costs concerning delivery and collection will be charged to you. If you decide to set up your contribution yourself, you are also responsible for the disposal of any packaging material. If you set up your contribution yourself, you are automatically responsible for dismantling and collecting your contribution after it has been evaluated by the jury. This also applies to products that have received an award.
Date for self-assembly
1 until 5 November 2010
Products that have been awarded an iF product design award 2011 will be stored for the iF exhibition. The iF exhibition at the Hanover exhibition center begins on 1 March 2011 and will be open to public during all international trade shows at Hannover fairground.
Self-disassembling of award-winning products
Award-winning products that have been assembled by participants must also be disassembled by the participants on the stated days. If the products are not collected, they will be stored at a cost to the participant. Participants will receive information about the days reserved for disassembly in January 2011. Temporary storage at Kuehne + Nagel is also possible. The participant is responsible for all costs for the storage. Please correspond directly with Kuehne + Nagel in this case.
Submissions not winning an award will be packed by iF after the jury and sent to Kuehne + Nagel for return at the participant's own expense. From the beginning of December, participants can enter any information for the return of their submissions by using the shipping information button in my iF / submission processing. Once the returns information has been successfully submitted, products are available for return at the end of January every year. Products picked up from Kuehne + Nagel using a participant's own forwarding company will be ready for collection in mid-December after the relevant returns data has been received. Please note, there will be no return shipment for large-format photos.
