In addition to the registration, all participants are responsible for the costs of sending their competition entries to iF either via mail or via a forwarding company. The entries must arrive no later than 5 May 2010. Multiple entries can be sent as one consignment. All competition entries, as well as all product- and transport packaging, must be clearly labeled with entry-ID and category number.

Delivery must not be charged to iF. Any customs duties for import and export have to be paid by the participant.
Self-assembly of competition entries is only possible for entries in the category 02. product interfaces, which are submitted as original products.
Contributions that are extremely large, difficult to handle or very heavy and have to be mounted, can be registered for self-assembly. If this applies to your contribution, please send an email to the iF team responsible for the iF communication design award.
The decision as to whether a contribution can be set up by the participant or whether it will be set up by iF rests with iF. Small products such as cell phones or navigation devices cannot be set up by participants.
If you set up your product yourself, all necessary material and tools must be provided by you. Resources such as forklifts and ramps have to be provided by you or can be rented via iFs logistics partner Kuehne + Nagel.
Please inform your forwarding company if this applies to you, since any additional costs concerning delivery and collection will be charged to you. If you decide to set up your contribution yourself, you are also responsible for the disposal of any packaging material. If you set up your contribution yourself, you are automatically responsible for dismantling and collecting your contribution after it has been evaluated by the jury. This also applies to products that have received an award.

Return of submitted competition entries
Generally, there will be no return of submitted entries. If you want your products and documentation returned to you, you are required to mark the according field in the online registration form. In this case, the entries must be shipped in reusable packaging. You should organize their collection at your own expense for after the jury decision. iF will charge a handling and storage fee of EUR 25.00 including VAT per entry.
After the jury session: Please instruct your forwarding company to collect your entries during the period of 31 May until 4 June 2010. Your entry-ID will be your reference number. All entries that have not been collected by 4 June 2010 will be destroyed.
Costs of returning competition entries
All costs related to the return of products or to their disposal will be paid by the participant.
