In addition to the registration, all participants are responsible for the costs of sending their competition entries to iF. The entries must arrive no later than 25 July 2010. Please note the downloadable shipping information on the right hand side.
Several entries can be sent as one consignment. All competition entries as well as all products and packaging must be clearly labeled with entry-ID and category number. Additionally, all entries must be shipped in a suitable and reusable packaging. Please bear in mind, that your entry will be transported from the warehouse to the jury and the exhibition site as well as unpacked and packed again up to four times.

The delivery costs of all entries are the responsibility of the competition participants'. Any customs duties for import and export have to be paid by the participant. All costs associated with the return of entries or any disposal of material must be paid by the participant.
All entries have to be submitted as original products. Some exceptions may be granted (e.g. in the case of extremely large items or pre-production products, etc.) and in these cases it may be possible to hand in models, models made to scale or large format photographs (A1, about 841 x 594 mm, mounted) instead. Participants who have submitted a website to the iF design award china, only need to provide the URL. All digital offline media must be PC compatible.
Contributions in the category '14. interior design' should be submitted in the form of not more than three A1 posters (A1, about 841 x 594 mm, mounted). These posters should contain a floorplan / construction plan, a project description and an overview as well as detail photographs.
Contributions in the category '16. advanced studies' should be submitted in the form of not more than three A1 posters (A1, about 841 x 594 mm, mounted). These posters should contain a main concept, a project description and an overview as well as design details.
If entries do not arrive within time for the jury session at iF, the images and descriptions uploaded together with the registration form will be used as the basis for the jury's decision.
Entries which are extremely large, difficult to handle or very heavy and have to be mounted, can be registered for self-set up. If this applies to your entry, please send an email to the iF team responsible for the iF design award china.
We also need information on the weight and measurements of your entry. The decision whether an entry can be set up by the participant or whether it will be set up by iF rests with iF.
Small products such as cell phones or navigation devices cannot be set up by participants.
If you set up your entry yourself, all necessary material and tools need to be provided by you. Resources such as forklifts and ramps have to be provided by you or can be rented via the iF logistics partner Schenker.
Please inform your carrier if this applies to you, since any additional costs concerning delivery and collection will be charged to you. If you decide to set up your contribution yourself, you are also responsible for the disposal of any packaging material. If you set up your entry yourself, you are automatically responsible for dismantling and collecting your entry after it has been evaluated by the jury regardless if it has received an award or not. This also applies to entries which have received an award.

iF will inform participants about the dates for self-set-up and dismantling in advance.
Return of award-winning entries
Award-winning entries will remain with iF until after the exhibition of the iF design award china 2010 in October. After the exhibition has ended, entries will be stored in the warehouse until further arrangements have been made by the participant. iF will inform the participants necessary logistics information for picking up awarded entries while the entries are ready to be returned in the end of October.
Self-dismantling of award-winning products
Award-winning products, which were set up by the participant, will also have to be dismantled by the participant. iF will inform participants about the dates for self-dismantling for award-winning products in due course.
Return of non award-winning products
Entries which have not received an award will be stored in the
warehouse until further arrangements have been made by the participant
after the jury session. iF will inform the participants necessary
logistics information for picking up awarded entries while the entries
are ready to be returned in middle of August.
Self-dismantling of non award-winning products
Non award-winning products that were set up by the participant must
be dismantled by the participant on the dates specified by iF.
Dates for self-dismantling
iF will inform participants in due course about the dates for the self-dismantling of non award-winning products.

Costs for the return of products
All costs associated with the return of products or any disposal of material must be paid by the participant.
The organizers do not undertake to return big-format displays submitted.
