iF Design

The iF design award china mirrors the great potential of, and opportunities for, Chinese design and supports the development of this rapidly growing industry in Asia. The competition is meant to honor outstanding achievements of Chinese designers and to create incentives for further development. Designers, architects and manufacturers who are located in Greater China are welcome to register their products for the iF design award china 2009.

For eight years, we have endeavored to support outstanding achievements in design with the iF design award china. Now we are in a position to look back on a successful history, and we can state that for some time now, the Greater China region is developing from a workbench of the industrialized nations into a thriving consumer market with quickly developing brands that have understood the importance of design.
In addition to the areas of computers and automobile engineering, the sports equipment and cell phone sectors particularly stood out last year. Manufacturers, designers and architects focused on solid design, on recognition value, on user friendliness and, in particular, on sustainability. We are glad to observe that topics such as reducing CO2 output and using recyclable materials have been of great importance. We hope that this development will be continued in the forthcoming iF design award china with many innovative entries and award-winning products. As has been the case in the years before, we will again honor the very best entries with ten iF gold awards in 2010.
